Readme for data underlying: T. Frederikse, R.E.M. Riva, and M.A. King: "Ocean-bottom deformation due to present-day mass transport and its impact on sea-level observations" All files are stored in NetCDF4 format and contain the temporal evolution of the geoid (Geoid), solid earth (Crust), and relative sea level (RSL) due to the mass transport. The unit for all variables is meter. The variable 'Barystatic' is the barystatic equivalent. The term 'Mass conservation' is the value of the mass conservation term Lambda in Equation 1. The *_mean.grd files contain the central estimate, while the *_upper.grd files contain the central estimate + 1-sigma estimate (i.e. subtract mean from upper to obtain the standard error). result_glaciers_mean.grd result_glaciers_upper.grd result_greenland_mean.grd result_greenland_upper.grd result_antarctic_mean.grd result_antarctic_upper.grd result_dam_depletion_mean.grd result_dam_depletion_upper.grd total_result_mean.grd contains the solution of all above processes combined, including the spherical harmonic representation, which are stored as follows: Geoid_sph(t, Imag, Order, Degree) Crust_sph(t, Imag, Order, Degree) RSL_sph(t, Imag, Order, Degree) The spherical harmoics are 4-Pi normalized. The 3rd and 4th variable loop over the orders and degrees. The second variable is 1 for the imaginary part, and 0 for the real part.
